My Yorkie has milk coming from her **** and she is not pregnant. WHY? She went into heat on August 13th.?
My female Yorkie went into heat on August 13th and during her heat cycle her and my little male Yorkie breed on several occasions, but she never got pregnant. We all thought she was pregnant and I even checked her **** to see if she had milk coming in and only in the bottom left tit would I find milk that would come out. My Yorkie never got hanging milk **** at all and if she was pregnant she would of done had them already and just 2 days ago I was playing with her and rubbing her tummy and I thought I would check to see if what milk she did have coming out was all dryed up yet,,, and to my surprise when I checked each tit she has I found that milk was coming to the top of each tit. So if my Yorkie wasn't pregnant and I know she isn't pregnant right now either then why does she have milk coming from each breast when I check them? August 13th was her very first heat cycle. What to do dog had 6 pups and only 4 **** not enough milk?

Get you girl into the vets! The pups are old enough to be placed on puppy mush:

3 cups puppy food crush in a blender. Add warm water or replacement formula until a runny oatmeal like mush. Por into heavy pie pans and feed this to the pups. with 6 pups I'd do 2 pans. Feed this to the pups 4 times a day. Have either drip bottles of water avaible to them from this point on or continue to bottle feed them. I would just use the water dip bottles.
By 5 weeks old the puppy food can just be soaked in warm water and broken up with a fork have water for them all the time. They dont need milk any more.
by 6 weeks old just soak the food in warm water. Feed the pups 4 times a day continue with the clean water.
By 7 weeks old soak some food but leave some crunchy mix them to gether and feed pups 4 times a day.
8 weeks old same as 7 weeks old.

dont forget to increase the amount of food to the pups as they get bigger ok

Get mom into the vets to make sure she hasn't developed mastitis! Very painful and it can lead to an infection setting in ok!

Is about 12 weeks since her last season? This happens to my dog - it is known as a phantom pregnancy. The dog thinks they're pregnant. You may have noticed other changes in her behavior such as being quieter than normal, guarding or mothering her toys, nesting behind sofa's etc?? Try putting a teaspoon of epsom salts in her water - this will dry up the milk.

I would recommend that you get her checked out at the vets just to make sure because she could get an infection if she has a lot of milk. They can also give you something to dry up the milk.

She could be having a false pregnancy, my Lab had one and she got mastitis, if you are worried see your vet.
She started showing symptoms about 2 months after her season, she had a swelling on her side and was running a temperature which was making her drool excessively, she needed antibiotics and then spaying to stop it happening again.

Are you sure she has not given birth already? If she is outside a lot then you should check around the yard and even in your house. make sure there are no babies around(dead or alive). If she has not given birth yet then I would actually take her into a vet to see what they think.

My kitty would have her babies in my closet every time, and only wanted to have them with me there. if this is her first litter and she is very attached to you, she may even want you there. but if she keeps walking away from you, leave her alone. Oh, and get her fixed soon.
