If you can prove that you have a "urinary disability/issue" and you notify the school personnel then you have no reason to be denied to the bathroom. 5 year old daughter peeing pants?
My five year old daughter has started peeing her pants about once per day. I just don't know what to do. Today it happened at school. She just started first grade, so maybe that is hard for her, but would it cause her to start having accidents. Yesterday she pooped her pants and sat in it for hours until I discovered she did it. I asked her why she didn't change and she said she forgot. She also wakes up in the middle of the night and can't make it to the bathroom. She will run, but can't hold it. Any advice?

If it is something that recentlly started then it may be that she has a bladder infection or another illness so a trip to the doctors to rule this out is a good place to start.

I am so sorry you're going through this. That has got to be tough... can you tell me if you are tired a lot, or super thirsty as well? My 7 year old had NEVER wet the bed or himself, but he started, and he was up all night using the loo and also saying "SOOOO thirsty" and he craved milk or sweet drinks... He down glass after glass of liquids... I caught it in about a week.... these are classic symptoms of Type 1, Juvenile diabetes. I had him tested immediately, and unfortunaly he is diabetic.

Please, PLEASE let me know if you have any other symptoms because I feel your pain, and I really want to try to help you! Yoh must be SO stressed with school starting, and asking your bf to not come over. It's taking over your life. Toddler Peeing Pants On Purpose, what to do?
My son has been potty trained since July with little accidents. At the beginning of December he started peeing pants in time outs. In the past week and a half it has escalated to peeing when he doesn't get what he wants, gets angry/scared or for attention. I am out of ideas.

Our son did that when he was 2-years old (potty trained 2-3 months). He was a very picky eater so we made him stay in the high-chair until he took 2-3 bites of each thing and a guy-size portion of things we knew he liked. One day he peed in his high-chair. We weren't upset, but we took him down and cleaned him off, assuming it was an accident. Then a couple days later it happened again.

We began making sure he went pee right before dinner. He wanted down - we let him down to go pee but he didn't have to go. We put him back in his high chair right away and he started straining. We warned him not to go pee in his high chair because we could tell he was trying. My wife and I agreed that we would begin spanking him for wetting his pants on purpose. Finally it .

As I took him out the highchair, my wife got a warm wet washcloth with a touch of babysoap on it. I removed his wet clothes and took them to the hamper while she cleaned him up and lectured him about how he was warned not to pee in his highchair. After she finished cleaning him, she safely secured him over her knee and gave him a spanking he wouldn't soon forget. After our son was through crying we both discussed the incident with him the best we could.

About a week later he got brave/defiant enough to try it again without warning. I'm sure he was just seeing if the consequences would be the same or if we were in a harsh mood the time before. We never never never punish for accidents, but "on purposes" are much different. If we are not sure, we treat it as an accident. If you are not sure, go back to the bribery "potty training" system. If he avoids accidents for several weeks using the bribe of a sticker, you can be sure that he is capable of using the potty (nearly) every time. Ignoring a problem will never make it go away - that is called enabling; punishment won't scare him as long as he knows what he has to do to avoid it.

First off what is your son normally doing when it happens? I mean does it happen during just a specific time like when he is playing? Because my nephew started doing it at 4 also and he was fully potty trained by 2 but he just did it because he got too busy playing he would be excited/happy/content playing and he would not want to stop playing long enough to go into the bathroom.

My daughter just turned 3 years old last month and shes been potty trained for almost a year now. Here in the last couple of days she has been kind of clumsy and peed her pants quite a bit. I don't think shes doing it on purpose, because she feels upset about it afterwords. She had tubes put in 2 years ago and this is the first winter shes not had them, I don't know if it could be her ears again, but ive never heard of that making her pee her pants. Take her into the doctor to have everything checked. The ears could throw off her balance, and if she feels unsteady she may not be able to quickly get where she needs to go. 3 year olds can be potty trained, but I'm sure you've noticed they can't hold it for super long - when they need to go, they need to go pretty much now.

Often potty habits are what guyren will regress in if they are feeling stressed or unwell - so if she's been dizzy or off balance, it may just be a skill regression purely because she's dealing with something else right now.

Sometimes guyren go through awkward growth spurts as well - and this can make them quite clumsy for a few weeks as they adjust. Their bodies still aren't proportioned well and when they all of a sudden have a spurt - it takes time for them to master their new proportions - this is actually a big reason for safety precautions taken in guycare rooms for toddlers - they can become clumsy at any time.
